Reducing chromatic aberration

When taking the photograph, try stopping down (increasing the f-stop number), if you are in manual or aperture priority mode (alternatively, increase the shutter duration). For example try f4 or f5.6 rather than f2.8

However, some say that stopping down makes very little difference, and prefer post-processing/software correction of chromatic aberration. See [*].
