Panasonic Bob (Steve's Digicam, Panasonic forum, 10 July 2004)...
(in response to the question) ``I placed the {SD storage} card {from the FZ digital camera} in{to} the PC (personal computer) and...rotated them on the PC {and then saved the picture back onto the SD card}. No problem. Putting back the card in the camera the rotated pictures were not longer visible on the {camera's} liquid crystal display (lcd), only an interupted line and the number of the picture appear.''
OK, The key to the mystery is the sentence...`I rotated them (the photographs) in the PC'. Since the file was modified and written to the card by the PC, in most cases you won't be able to read it with the camera once files have been modified using the PC. Aside from not being able to see the photo using the camera, I've seen cases where photos taken from that point on may not always display properly. Fear not, it's easy to correct. Save all your photos (onto the personal computer) and format the SD card. That simple.
