Another flower lover! `art(less)' (dpreview, Panasonic forum, 21 March 2004) has some hints...
From my default of spot mode/shutter priority/iso50/no color/std or low on adjustments/-1/3EV; I actually just switch to Macro mode and spot metered. For static subject like flower (especially in my backyard) I usually compose or study first the vision or the impression I would like to capture. The sample subject below was chosen because I saw the play of light on the petals(taken under direct sunlight around 10:00 in the morning).
I like the Spot mode as it gives me better control on exposure rather than do bracketing. The standard matrix metering in FZ10 while safe and technically satisfying, does not give me much impact...
